You’ll learn the GO-SOLO approach to autobiographical storytelling and character monologues through in-class improvisation, short writing exercises and take-home assignments. Not in NYC? Email us to learn how you can bring Matt to your theatre, school or group with a GO-SOLO Intensive! We can tailor our intensives to the size of your group (from 4 to 40) and the time you desire (from a 3-hour group class to a week-long retreat). We can also arrange to have one of our award-winning alumni perform his or her solo show as part of a GO-SOLO Intensive, followed by a talkback with the artist. GO-SOLO Intensives have been taught to professional actors and playwrights, college and high school students and regular folk - at Princeton University, the Ojai Playwrights Festival, All for One Festival, CityWrights Playwrights Festival and more!
Schedule permitting, Matt Hoverman is available for private coaching (in person or via Zoom) to help further develop the writing/ performance of solo shows created in our Go-Solo workshops.
